2. Make the self-assessment form in terms of products and services and sustainability (ESG)

Supplier screening and assessment

BEM focuses on sustainable supply chain management in accordance with international standards for the suppliers operate in according to supplier code of conduct in consideration of environmental society human rights and labor impacts and business ethics including risk assessment on issues that are consistent with the supplier code of conduct, BEM reserves the right to consider qualifications and assess suppliers according to the following criteria:

1. Evaluation for selection based on the factors of availability of goods and services, price, delivery including the sustainability assessment (ESG) of suppliers through a self-assessment.
2. Performance evaluation according to the terms and conditions of work and delivery.
3. Supplier auditing at the workplace (Onsite Audit), both in terms of operations and sustainability by considering as appropriate so that the suppliers operate in according to supplier code of conduct in consideration of environmental society human rights and labor impacts and business ethics including risk assessment on issues that are consistent with the supplier code of conduct.

There is a summary of performance evaluation of vendors, service providers and contractors to report to the Quality Management Committee (QMC) annually.



Identify Significant Supplier

ฺBEM classifies suppliers to be able to manage them appropriately as follows:

1.    Significant Tier-1 Suppliers 
The trading partner that does business directly with the company and meets the criteria for considering importance from 2 out of 6 items or more, with the criteria for considering importance as follows:
1) High order value (≥ 50 million baht/year)
2) Have expertise in the type of work Have unique equipment or technology that affects the main operations of the company
3) Cooperate in procuring equipment and developing the main work systems used in operations.
4) There is a service characteristic that requires recruiting workers to work in the main service areas of the company on a daily basis, such as stations, checkpoint buildings, etc.
5) Have a strategic relationship Be a good partner who can assist the company in urgent emergency cases.
6) Not located in a geographic risk area or a state of war.
 
2.    Non-Significant Tier-1 Suppliers
The trading partner who do business directly with the company and does not meet the criteria for determining importance.
 
3.    Significant Non-Tier-1 Suppliers
The trading partner who do not directly business with BEM and to be the significant tier-1 suppliers with the BEM's significant tier-1 suppliers and is a manufacturer or installer with expertise in this type of work and/or have unique technology which can affect the operations and maintenance of BEM.
