BEM Promotes Employee Health and Volunteerism through the “10 Million Steps into BEM’s 10th Anniversary: Sharing Happiness with Society” Initiative

Bangkok Expressway and Metro Public Company Limited (BEM) is committed to promoting employee volunteerism and engagement alongside health and well-being through the program “10 Million Steps into BEM’s 10th Anniversary: Sharing Happiness with Society.” Launched in February 2025, the program targets 10–18 million steps per month, with employees’ accumulated steps converted into charitable donations of THB 10,000–12,000 each month to one selected organization, providing ongoing opportunities for employee involvement with charitable causes.
The company announces the results and publishes the names of employees with the highest accumulated steps each month through internal communication channels to recognize contributions and inspire peer engagement. Employees with outstanding achievements are also invited to represent the company in making monthly donations. By mid-September, more than 500 employees had joined, with total steps exceeding 126 million; the top participant achieved more than 2.1 million steps. The company has donated THB 72,000 to seven charitable organizations, including the Foundation for Slum Child Care, Ramathibodi Foundation, Human Rights and Development Foundation, Home for Disabled Animals Foundation, Education Fund for Development Foundation, Bann Dek Ramindra School, and the Association for the Promotion of the Status of Women. The program will continue until November 2025, reaffirming BEM’s commitment to embedding a culture of volunteerism and employee engagement within the organization and extending it to create shared value with society in a sustainable way.
